The Honig Lab within the Department of Systems Biology is seeking to hire an Associate Research Scientist to play a central role in the development of scientific tools that will lead to the next generation of our PrePPI and P-HIPSter computational pipelines that predict protein-protein interactions on a genomic scale. The research will involve mastering the existing science and modern machine learning technologies, deciding which ones can best be integrated Into our existing infrastructure and, eventually, applying the new infrastructure to multiple genomes. Ph.D. in structural bioinformatics and expertise in technologies such as sequence and structure alignment and protein structure prediction. Expertise in machine learning and generative AI. Expertise in data science and software engineering. A solid background in biochemistry and biophysics.
