Position summary: We have an immediate opening for an Associate Research Scientist position in the Epidemiology and Biostatistics team in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The Associate Research Scientist?s responsibilities will consist of working closely with other members in the OBGYN Biostatistical and Epidemiological team to provide epidemiological and statistical consulting service to support clinician?s research, including but not limit to study design, data collection and analysis, and results interpretation. This person may need to assist Dr. Kahe to manage the research consulting service. Also, this person will closely work with Dr. Kahe and other investigators in NIH funded research projects such as data analysis and manuscript preparation. In addition, this person is expected to conduct applied research in an area of considerable scope of complexity, plan independent research, data analysis and interpretation, and publish the results. Moreover, this person is expected to design studies and develop grant proposal to seek extramural funds for independent studies. Furthermore, there will be opportunities to get involved in training clinicians/scholars/graduate students from CUIMC and other institutes. Minimum Degree Required A Ph.D. degree in either Epidemiology or Biostatistics with 2 years postdoc experience is required.
