The Jovanovic Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to study how post-translational modification drive protein interaction changes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel quantitative, global methods for investigating how protein phosphorylation states influence protein interactions and their dynamics. The research will include extensive mass spectrometry-based proteomics hands-on work, including isobaric labeling, fractionation by size exclusion chromatography and PTM enrichment. In addition, experience with proteomics data analysis is required, which will be further integrated with novel analysis pipelines to study protein interactions. Finally, cell culture experience is required for sample generation.
