The Department of Epidemiology and Health Promotion at the New York University College of Dentistry is soliciting applications for an Assistant Professor position on the tenure track. Responsibilities Include successfully obtaining support to conduct and lead research In dental public health and oral epidemiology, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, participating In university, college and departmental governance, and professional and public service. Most of the effort Is expected to derive from collaborating on and leading research projects, applying for and receiving external funding for research, presenting at national and International conferences, and producing peer-reviewed publications. In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for the rank of Assistant Professor on the tenure track is $130K - $190K. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate?s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Successful candidates are required to have a Ph.D. In epidemiology, public health, or a related area. Experience working In public health programs is a plus. Candidates with a dental degree (DMD/DDS) and additional training or education In public health are preferred. Evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to collaborate effectively with other members of the department, of the College of Dentistry and other NYU Schools, value diverse perspectives, and contribute to the mission of advancing dental public health and oral epidemiology science to promote equity and Improve oral health locally, nationally and globally.
