Assistant Professor - Cognitive Psychology FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Psychology Department at Hunter College-CUNY welcomes applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in any area of Cognitive Psychology (including, but not limited to, attention, decision-making, language acquisition and processing, memory, perception and reasoning). We are searching for candidates who: 1) Show evidence of or potential for excellence in empirical research, using behavioral, neuroscientific, and/or computational modeling approaches 2) Have a well-specified and theory-based research program, with promise for research funding 3) Will contribute to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Job activities will include conducting independent research (including publishing and applying for grants), teaching (undergraduate and graduate courses), and service (such as participating in departmental committees). QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must hold a PhD in psychology or closely related field, or an equivalent degree, at the time of appointment, have a clearly defined and productive research agenda in cognition, broadly construed, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence. Assistant Professor salary range is $70,238-$99,532.
