Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $63,700 - $72,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Center for Career Education serves undergraduate students in Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies, and collaborates with Career Centers in the other schools at Columbia University and its affiliated institutions. We are an innovative team of career services professionals dedicated to supporting our diverse body of students and alumni in reaching their personal and professional goals, by providing access to networking connections, experiential learning opportunities and jobs, comprehensive resources, and customized career counseling. Responsibilities Deliver individual and group career counseling to undergraduate students and recent alumni. In conjunction with other team members, track, assess, and report on counseling outcomes. Research, develop, and implement career education programming to address student needs. Programming may include, but is not limited to: workshops, panels, speakers, and presentations. Collaborate with alumni, employers, and other professionals where relevant. Assess the quality and effectiveness of program delivery. Serve as team member or lead on CCE-wide initiatives and collaborate with other colleagues and teams on development and implementation of these initiatives. Provide reports on activities and program outcomes to the Sen. Associate Dean of Alumni and Undergraduate Career Development and the Dean of Career Education. Develop and maintain proactive relationships with key clients including undergraduate students, undergraduate student leaders, alumni, administrators, faculty, and employers. Serve as CCE?s representative on cross-campus teams serving specific populations of undergraduates. Provide reports on activities and program outcomes to the Sen. Associate Dean Undergraduate Career Development and the Dean of Career Education Develop and maintain online and print resources. Participate in CCE program planning and assist other counselors/staff with implementation of programming. Perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree and/or its equivalent required. A minimum of 2 years in a related field working with a diverse body of undergraduate-level students. Career education skills required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with diverse populations. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary. Availability to work some evenings throughout the year required. Applications received without a resume and cover letter will not be considered. Preferred Qualifications Master?s degree in Counseling Psychology or related field preferred. Knowledge of industry recruiting practices, job search processes, and cross-campus outreach and collaboration experience preferred. Knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Suite, Google Workplace/G-Suite, Salesforce, Recruiting platforms/databases, desktop publishing software, and webpage design desired.
