LSEG Analyst, Equity Index Product in New York, New York

Role Profile The FTSE Russell Product Management team is responsible for delivering indexes, data products and services that meet targeted client segment needs globally, both launching new FTSE Russell index and financial data products and managing the existing offerings.

The Analyst, Equity Index Product Management reports to the Director of Equity Index Product Management. The Analyst role is an entry level role in the Equity Product Management team. The Analyst will work closely with senior members of the team to support a wide range of projects. The Analyst will grow his/her knowledge of the financial markets, FTSE Russell product portfolios, as well as the product development, lifecycle and GTM processes.

The Analyst will support senior members of the team to work across the matrixed organization with Research, Marketing, Index Delivery, and client facing teams including Sales and Client Service in order to gain support on key initiatives across the organization.

The role will also play a key role in the integration planning and execution of Equity index products as part of the integration of Refinitiv and LSEG. In the event that the Transaction does not complete, the requirements of the role and responsibilities may be subject to change. Core Responsibilities Delivers against work activities set by senior colleagues in the Equity Index Product Management team. Supports Product Managers in key client engagement initiatives to understand client needs and/or product opportunities. Provides analytical support including industry trend analysis, competition analysis, product analysis, etc. Support cross-functional projects to improve product offering. Assist Product Managers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to launch new products, and support Go-To-Market activities such as collateral preparation. Assist Product Managers in product cycle management. Implements minor enhancements to existing products / services under supervision. Essential skills Written and verbal communications: Capable of communicating effectively with audiences with differing levels of domain expertise. Strong writing skills, PowerPoint and excel skills, and verbal communication skills. Quantitative fluency: High level of skill and comfort with numbers (basic financial modeling) Client focus and service mind-set: Strong awareness of differing needs of internal and external clients, and ability to align delivery under senior colleague’s supervision. Execution: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, identify/ flag/resolve potential issues early on. Collaboration: Ability to influence and work through others to get things done in a matrixed, multi-site organization; willingness to help colleagues; openness to take on new responsibilities Self-motivated: Takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm

Desired experience and qualifications Basic conceptual knowledge of investment management and financial markets Basic understanding of a client facing environment providing customer support, integration, and implementation services Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or equivalent experience required
