After School Film Teacher Children's Programs - School for Children Start Date: ASAP Role: After School Film Teacher (Part-time role) Schedule: Weekly on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 PM from April 1, 2024 - May 30, 2024 Pay Rate: $65/hour Job Summary: Bank Street School for Children (BSC) is seeking an After School Film teacher for our Upper School students (5th-8th grade). We seek a dynamic individual who embodies our BSC values. Under the supervision of the Auxiliary Programs team, our Film teacher will teach up to 10 students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching 5th - 8th grade students and understanding social and emotional learning. This position runs along the SFC school calendar from April to May. Responsibilities Include: Plan and run a 6-week Film Course for 5th-8th graders Maintain communication with Auxiliary Program Team Manage group dynamics and mediate conflicts Weekly email communication to families Build relationships with students, faculty, and family members. Enforce BSC principles and values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Model and encourage positive youth behaviors. Model professional leadership and behavior by adhering to BSC rules and regulations.
