Job Description Role Overview: Are you ready to make a real impact and find your calling at MSK? Join our dedicated team of over 900 Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) who are passionate about delivering compassionate and comprehensive cancer care. We are excited to add an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) - Surgical Nocturnist to our team, covering multiple high-volume services overnight, including Hepatobiliary, Head & Neck, Colorectal, Gastric Mixed Tumor, Plastics, Ophthalmology, and Breast surgery. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to provide exceptional care to inpatient surgical oncology patients, ensuring their medical, surgical, and psychosocial needs are met. Key Qualifications: Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations NYS prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) 2-3+ years of related clinical experience within oncology, preferably within surgery Related National NP certification BLS, ACLS required OR Graduate from an accredited PA program NCCPA certification Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure A minimum of 2-3 years clinical oncology experience, preferably within surgery BLS, ACLS required Core Skills: A strong decision-maker who excels at making timely decisions to keep the organization progressing. Able to thrive in environments with complex or conflicting information, maintaining focus and efficiency. Skilled at gaining support and commitment from others by effectively engaging them around your perspectives and priorities. A clear and confident communicator, comfortable interacting with diverse teams and patient populations.
