Overview The Department of Behavioral Science (DBS) within the School of Health Sciences at Touro University is seeking applications for the position of Admissions Associate. The role requires proactive outreach to potential applicants via phone, text, and email as needed. The Admissions Associate is responsible for maintaining the high quality of daily activities within the DBS Admin Team, ensuring exemplary customer service, efficient and timely resolution of applicant and student-centered issues, and accuracy in data reporting. As a key frontline team member, the Admissions Associate plays a critical role in leading and participating in enrollment-related initiatives and undertakings. This position supports Touro University's vision and mission for strategic enrollment management and student success. Work is performed under minimal supervision, with evaluation based on the satisfactory completion of assigned duties and timely processing of candidate applications. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participate as an active member of the DBS Admin Team, assisting in strategic enrollment planning and implementing admissions goals. Serve as liaison to various campus partners working closely with the DBS Admin Team to achieve the university's enrollment goals and support student success. Monitor admission and enrollment data in the CRM system, export data into the shared Excel file, and track candidate progress, ensuring efficient and accurate data handling. Prepare admissions reports as directed, ensuring data accuracy and utility. Handle a high volume of communications with prospective and admitted students via email, phone, and virtual events. Maintain records of prospective students and their transcripts, communicating updates, issues, needs, and other admissions-related information to prospective students. Submit acceptance/rejection forms to the central Office of Admissions. Send weekly admissions status updates to relevant program directors, troubleshoot issues, and escalate as needed. Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students, addressing inquiries and providing guidance throughout the admissions process. Continuously seek opportunities to improve admissions processes and systems for better efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in admissions and enrollment management. Qualifications Education/ Experience Bachelor's degree required Four years of related experience Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent customer service, organizational, and record-keeping skills; detail-oriented and conscientious Strong computer and technical skills Ability to multi-task in a busy office; team-oriented Enthusiastic and creative individual with a friendly personality. Strong focus on providing excellent customer service. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative; eager to learn new skills and open to mentorship Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Previous experience with CRM and/or Admissions Student systems required Physical Demands Extensive time sitting and standing Extensive use of computers Ability to lift 5 pounds Maximum Salary USD $64,350.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $51,480.00/Yr.
