The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Managers, the incumbent provides a wide range of administrative and secretarial support to the Visitors Center. The incumbent assists the Managers in coordinating on campus visits to recruit and yield prospective undergraduate students to Columbia College, Columbia Engineering and General Studies. The Administrative Aide is also responsible for meeting and greeting prospective undergraduate and graduate applicants, as well as tourists and University visitors. Other duties include answering and directing incoming phone calls, coordinating high school visits on campus and managing group tours on campus, maintaining statistics regarding number of visitors; providing administrative and secretarial support to the Managers; and maintaining an office calendar system for tracking office programming Responsibilities Assists the Managers in coordinating on-campus visit programs to recruit and yield prospective undergraduate and graduate students. Responsible for meeting and greeting prospective undergraduate and graduate applicants, tourists and University visitors. Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Managers and maintaining office calendar system for the office programming. Coordinates high school group visits on campus and manages tours on campus. Research and write statistical reports, maintaining statistics regarding number of visitors. Support Managers in training new student workers on front desk operations and protocols. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or the equivalent required. Three years? minimum office experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in university or other complex organization required. Must possess excellent verbal, oral and written skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft suite products required. Preferred Qualifications Some college preferred. Fluency in more than one language highly preferable.
