Job Description

The relationship management team is responsible for increasing market share and accelerating revenue growth of client relationships (large public and private firms with annual revenues greater than $500 million, with an emphasis on companies included on the Fortune 1000 and Forbes Private 400 across a variety of industry verticals) lists by analyzing, and interpreting information to support business development activities, identify products and services to enable strategic opportunities, as well as evaluate action to minimize risk.

What you’ll do

This is a development program which offers and exciting opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in various facets of banking, including financial analysis, underwriting, and client relationship management. Additionally, you will be supporting senior bankers with client relationships and work alongside various product partners to help identify cross-selling opportunities and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive financial solutions for clients. This program is designed to provide a well-rounded foundation for a successful career in banking. Over the course of our 3-year program, you will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of formal training, mentorship, and a community of peers and advisors.

As a r elationship management development program analyst, you’ll :

  • Coordinate efforts for the Relationship Managers (RM) heading up a business development effort, providing support where needed including industry research, marketing material production, coordination with product areas, as well as other activities as identified by the RM(s)

  • Maintain internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, Salesforce reports, etc.

  • Assist in preparing written material including pitch books, briefing memos, client materials and associated analyses

  • Develop expertise in the industries assigned and conduct in depth company research

  • Communicate and interact with both core and extended client team members from various product groups to build comprehensive client presentations and ensure seamless client delivery

  • May assist with new client identification, prospecting, company research

  • Able to read, understand, and analyze a 10K/10Q (including the Notes to Financials) along with other SEC Reporting

  • Participate in financial analysis activities, including gathering and interpreting financial data and preparing financial reports to support decision-making process.

  • Gain exposure to the underwriting process by assisting underwriters in evaluating loan and credit applications. Learn to assess risk, analyze financial statements, and determine appropriate terms for credit facilities.

  • Develop technical and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives

  • Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date(or equivalent experience and up to 1 year experience in a finance/analytical related role)

  • Fundamentalunderstanding of Financial/Accounting terms, concepts, and applications

  • Ability to start development program on June 23, 2025

Work ing model and hours:

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Development program members work approximately 40-hours each week in this fulltime role.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $78,965.00 - $92,900.00 - $102,190.00
