ROLE SUMMARY

The Revenue Management(RM) Digital Solutions team manages technology strategy and delivery for the Pfizer's Commercial Business Units, the Global Access and Value (GAV) organization and Pfizer Commercial Finance teams. The team plays a critical role in ensuring Patients can easily access Pfizer's breakthrough medicines through contracting opportunities with Payer and Providers.

The primary purpose of the Technical Business Analyst is to bridge the gap between the Digital Teams and the business stakeholders to ensure successful interpretation of business needs and technical solutions.

The individual filling this role is expected to provide guidance to moderately complex technology programs with a focus on effective business solutions and delightful customer experience. Ability to participate and deliver moderately complex scale technology programs is critical.

This Technical Business Analyst will work in partnership with Business Partners to deliver key Digital Technology solutions. The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for understanding, and communicating requirements to ensure technology solutions and strategic initiatives meet the needs of their intended audiences.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate functional needs into business requirements and clearly communicate those requirements to stakeholders, delivery teams, and the appropriate Digital groups.

  • Lead, analyze, document, and communicate the user requirements.

  • Establish relationships with business partners and project teams and liaise between the business and technical delivery team.

  • Build, validate and update diagrams, models, and other artifacts to describe business processes, conceptual information models, organizational structure, business area context, and/or system requirements

  • Establish the requirements baseline and trace requirements throughout the project lifecycle

  • Provide input on design to ensure that the design meets the requirements

  • Plan and communicate the requirements management approach and change management plan to be used for the project.

  • Provide input to the project work breakdown structure and the overall project plan

  • Manage change in requirements over the project lifecycle and partners with the project Manager to assess the impact on the project scope.

  • Identify areas of risk due to requirements and surface to the project manager

  • Partner with the function stakeholders and appropriate Digital groups to manage successful execution of business case.

  • Evaluate optimal solution among proposed implementation solutions, support development of business case.

  • Maintain awareness of in-place platforms and support ongoing utilization and growth, e.g., usage, new enhancements, ongoing industry technology trends etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at five years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent

  • 5-7 years' experience in project level business analysis using standard requirements business analysis techniques including brainstorming, interviewing, requirements sessions, activity diagrams, process modeling, conceptual data modeling, use case and wireframes desired

  • 3-5 years' experience in program level business analysis leadership

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents / tools:

  • Business Process

  • Process Flow Analysis

  • Experience working with developers

  • Experience with Cloud Solutions and/or RDBS

  • Basic competence in at least one programming language

  • Requirements Definition

  • Data Models

  • Detailed Functional Design

  • Executive Summaries

  • Good Project Management skills with knowledge on Agile principles.

  • Experience collaborating with and managing cross-functionals teams including business subject matter experts, technical experts and compliance teams for project execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience understanding business requirements, technical concepts and business processes.

  • Strong knowledge of analytics, quantitative and problem-solving skills to drive decisions for optimized solutioning.

  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Strong working knowledge on MS Tools - Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills in both written & verbal English (and have worked in a global/multicultural environment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in Information Technology in the context of the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Knowledge or education in one or more of the following: database, cloud technologies and analytics.

  • Good knowledge of System Application & Products within Revenue Management, contracting and reporting space is a plus

  • Previous experience developing business line technology strategies and business cases is a plus.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed.

  • Pfizer Digital is a 7x24x365 endeavor. This role may require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
