Pfizer Agency Financial Operations Lead in New York City, New York

In keeping with this purpose, CommercialOperations plays a key role in creating Better, Faster, Smarter Content to Support an Omnichannel Model. One of the most critical drivers of this transformation is to create an industry leading end-to-end content supply chain that delivers excellence across 83 global markets.

As a result, the Agency & Content Team was created to offer marketers and medical a for fit-for-purpose E2E content offering for BUs and countries. The Agency Financial Operations Lead is a key position on the Leadership team. The Lead will shape and manage the first CMO agency financial operations capability.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record in finance, commercial operations, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to quickly understand CMO services and navigate the matrix environment.

Key Attributes:

Responsible for owning and evolving the end-to-end (E2E) Financial Process supporting the CoLab agency model to ensure product teams have transparency into their agency spend to effectively deliver against their strategy and objectives.

Reports to VP, Agency & Content of CMO Operations

  • Leads Globally:

  • Manage the E2E Financial Process for CoLab across CMO, Finance, Tax, Transfer Pricing and Procurement

  • The E2E Financial Process starts at annual planning and encompasses all sets through tactical planning, SOW and PO creation, ending with invoicing

  • Ensure optimal connectivity and user experience across systems (pfizerworks, decideware, POD, etc.)

  • Track and manage financial spend, allocation, and utilization of external vendors/partners , reporting on trends and proactively flagging cause for concern or opportunity to optimize, with the goal of ensuring appropriate level of spend for the service received

  • Partner with CoLab SOW and invoicing contacts to ensure invoicing is happening on time

  • Operationalize monthly budget trackers for all markets and product teams

  • Proactively communicate gaps to line manager and senior CMO Operationsstakeholders in a timely manner to get ahead of potential roadblocks and maintain timely financial deliverables

  • Lead will be responsible for managing colleagues with 3 reports.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders , incl.:

  • Finance stakeholders and Finance systems owners

  • Sourcing and Procurement stakeholders

  • Budget Coordinators

  • CMO leaders and teams

  • CoLab

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field

  • 15+ years of experience in finance, procurement or operations or related functions

  • Pharmaceutical commercial businessexperience

  • Strong financial operations experience including budget tracking allocating budget reporting

  • Strong operational and program management experience including managing risks and dependencies

  • Familiarity with marketing principles and strategies to effectively develop and execute marketing projects.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical skills to monitor and evaluate project progress and make data-driven decisions around resource allocation and prioritization

  • Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment; experience in commercial roles is an advantage

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience in development of a highly engaged team

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrixedenvironment

  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies, with proven ability to create consensus and alignment

  • Operational mindset and strong attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's level education preferred

  • Role will be responsible for multiple geographies, but requires flexibility to work with US time-zone on regular basis

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
