Manufacturing Process Engineer (New Ulm, MN)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Efficiency

• Monitors productivity and cost and initiates continuous improvement projects where needed

• Supports daily production for area of responsibility

• Drives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilities

• Utilizes expertise to broadly support site and department needs with special projects as they arise

• Reports project implementation, cost and status to plant management and supervision

• Continuously develops technical skillset by establishing a network of resources and contacts across the New Ulm plant and 3M Corporation

Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering and/or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)

• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Prior experience working with plastic molding processes

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution

• Experience with DMAIC and Lean Manufacturing

  Work location:

• New Ulm, MN

  Travel: May include up to 10 % domestic/international

  Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

  Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
