A member of the Office of Student Engagement, the Assistant Director contributes to the mission of the department by developing, implementing, and supervising outdoor adventure-based programs, the club sports program, campus leadership/teambuilding initiatives, and providing departmental support for the comprehensive program offerings of the Office of Student Engagement. Master’s Degree in Student Personnel, Recreation, Experiential Education or similar discipline (preferred). 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field – preferably some experience working at a residential, liberal arts institution. Able to develop and sustain relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and other constituent groups. Well-organized and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. Capable of handling confidential information with a high level of integrity. Possesses strong public speaking and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to collaboration. Seeks opportunities to increase personal knowledge of student development theory, current trends and best practices.
