CVS Health Product Manager in New Jersey

Job Description

The Product Manager is a member of the Wellpartner 340B Digital Product Team responsible for identifying business/client, user needs and refining and translating them into product features that support the overall product strategy.This is a dynamic role that drives the day to day development of key technologies for a program that generates multi-million dollar business value to the organization by providing Wellpartner clients with industry leading 340B platforms that offer full transparency for their program in an easily digestible format. The Product Manager will play a key role in shaping the product direction, creating feature(s), writing user stories and innovating collaboratively with Clients, Account Managers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Software Architects, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Developers, QA and other internal teams.As the Product Owner, this role will be accountable for critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, and analyzing data-driven decisions to reveal underlying user needs that will drive our digital products.The candidate is responsible for identifying and understanding technical and non-technical issues related to each project and providing appropriate guidance and potential solutions while managing expectations and creating measurable improvement. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:1. Work closely with clients, and the account management team, to continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, elicit user feedback and identify opportunities and risks.2. Partner with the Senior Product Manager and the Digital Product Team to analyze, identify, create, implement, and adjust the product roadmap, based on user needs and the company’s digital product strategy.3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to assess cross product and operational impacts and usability of proposed solutions.4. Contribute throughout the entire product/project lifecycle by acting as a subject matter expert to a cross-functional team on backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups and retrospectives. 5. Own, develop and maintain prioritized backlog of epics and user stories, for implementation to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the Product Roadmap.6. Own the deconstruction of features into user stories and ensure all user stories are vertically sliced and adhere to i.n.v.e.s.t (independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small, testable) standards. 7. Collaborate with other Product Managers and other Product Owners to manage inter-team dependencies and shared roadmap vision.8. Identify scope and parameters of documentation needs on a project-by-project basis to ensure story completeness, refine acceptance criteria and promote overall consistency of user experience.9. Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.10. Work with project managers and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for sprint planning and product development cycles.11. Set and communicate the expectations of product enhancements and delivery of new functionality to clients and internal teams.12. Elicit, measure, track, and report on key success metrics to ensure the quality, accuracy and impact of our delivered product features.Will consider work-from-home applicants though residence within a commutable distance to our Floram Park, NJ location is preferred. Will need to travel periodically to NJ office.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner of application software, preferably in the Pharma or Health Care sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Agile SCRUM methodologies to deliver products that follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to manage moderate to high complexity projects is a plus• Passionate about understanding and improving processes by designing and building great software solutions to address client needs and expectations.• Superior understanding of how to manage client relationships, deliver analytics value, and influence senior clients to define and expand data-driven strategies into new applications and markets.• Proven ability to proactively seek out customer challenges and new opportunities that will demonstrate value to our clients.• Ability to analyze and make informed business decisions by drafting key objectives and results, strategies, and ensure that the appropriate levels of data is optimized by and through the product.• Ability to overcome ambiguity and deliver results.• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills that reflect strategic, critical and creative thinking.• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to various audiences and cross-functional teams both technical and non-technical. • Proficient story telling skills that sets expectations by creating a clear vision of the product, it’s uses and expected outcomes to the key stakeholders, while providing enough latitude for the Digital Product Team to creatively deliver the solution.• Strong presentation, persuasion, negotiation, and people skills including mentoring.• Ability to effectively work within a highly collaborative, team environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.• Agile certifications such as Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred.
