The Yale School of the Environment invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure) working at the interface of cities and climate change The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the School's strategic goals in the urban environment and sustainability. The ideal candidate does policy-relevant scholarship that is qualitatively anchored in a specific place, and can apply mixed-method approaches and theories beyond a single case study. Preference is for a candidate with a regional focus in the Global South, where urbanization is rapid and highly dynamic. Substantive topic areas of interest should include cities and climate change in the context of but not limited to: culture, informality, political economy, community resilience, governance, urban nature, or security and conflict.
