  1. Evaluates and assesses subject's suitability for inclusion in studies; develops and modifies procedures according to study findings; recommends changes to the study protocol to coincide with study goals and objectives. 2. Develops and implements procedures and data quality assurance standards for safety monitoring components of studies. 3. Contributes to designing activities, policies and procedures to improve day to day efficiency of the recruitment and assessment components of the study and to ensure that staff members perform activities within established research protocol. 4. Arranges patient enrollment, determines patient eligibility and obtains informed consent. 5. Develops study subject referral sources; designs and develops outreach programs. 6. Collaborates with multidisciplinary researchers to coordinate research programs that integrate new advances in clinical trials. 7. Delegates tasks and supervises the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers. 8. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Skill/ability 1: Ability to arrange patient enrollment, determine patient eligibility and obtain informed consent while working within the federal regulations and guidance documents, specified by clinical trial. Ability to manage and coordinate participant care throughout the study as well as all aspects of multiple clinical trials, while working within FDA and GCP guidelines. Required Skill/ability 2: Ability to manage all aspects of clinical trials while working on materials related to start up and activation through duration of the study, in compliance with the approved protocol. These include administers medications, research instruments, input data points, electronic data capture (EDC) per sponsor/NIH study specific requirements and proven phlebotomy ability. Required Skill/ability 3: Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers to coordinate research programs that integrate new advances in clinical trials. Excellent oral and written communication skills, working both independently and in a team environment. Required Skill/ability 4: Ability to identify noncompliance and deviations from protocol promptly, reporting them through the appropriate channels immediately. Required Skill/ability 5: Possess working knowledge of federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of clinical trials or interest, ability, and willingness to gain this knowledge. Skilled in EPIC, Oncore, and other clinical research databases. Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BS degree in nursing & four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience. Experience must indicate the ability to work in a team environment with excellent clinical, analytical & organizational skills with research nursing ability. At least two years demonstrated research experience highly preferred.
