CVS Health Sr Manager, Application Development (Support Team) in New Albany, Ohio
This position will be within the Provider Pricing System Support team, requiring in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix, Windows Servers and PLSQL toolsets. The ideal candidate will be required to support multiple different custom and vendor applications. Prior Team leadership experience is a must. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.This position will require the ability to code to the technical specifications and will guide other technical resources through development activities within an onshore/offshore staffing model. This person will be responsible for interacting with multiple teams while working through technical and design issues in order to support the applications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as in small groups, performing technical activities including analysis, design, development, and testing and production installation of all component’s applications. This position is on a Support Team and will be in an On Call rotation to support our applications. Will be the leader of a small team of application support developers and responsible for the team.
- Team leadership skills (managing workloads, soft skills, organization skills)- proficient with all office products- mentoring and coaching skills- Putty or EMACS ( a simple terminal for connecting to linux/unix/windows servers )- An editor (UltraEdit or Notepad) - Office tools skills (Word/excel)- UNIX server command experience (maybe dependent upon application/system)- LINUX server command experience (maybe dependent upon application/system)- Windows servers- PLSQL and use of query tools such as SQL Developer/PLSQL Developer- May even include Project management type of management skills (complex systems)

• Ability to manage all phases of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) development including reviewing technical documentation, development work, conducting design reviews, coordinating packaging & release deployments, and testing solutions in a complex environment• Solid skills in database performance fine tuning and optimizing poorly performing queries, stored procedures.• Model and generate database structures.• Support day to day production inquiries and questions from other technology groups.• Address data quality issues; work with business partners to build business understanding of data issues.• Skilled in developing dimensional databases and data cubes • Ability to design unit and system test plans, and execute testing. • Handle backups and restores• On call responsibilities• Production bug fix issues
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
