Description

Perform engineering, designing, supporting procurement, reviewing engineering documents, following up with vendors and engineering support to site for oil, gas and chemicals projects.

• It Includes creating mechanical datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations, bid recommendation.

• Stay updated on Industry Codes and Guidelines related to rotating and packaged equipment.

• Perform all the project activities within the given budget and project timeline.

• Conduct 3D model review of equipment in Navisworks software and ensure that the model follows the latest available information from vendors, equipment specifications and latest industry codes.

• Conduct individual and inter-discipline reviews of engineering drawings and documents from the vendors.

• Provide necessary support in resolving queries originating during equipment fabrication and site activities.

• Provide support in departmental activities like conducting training, knowledge sharing with team members, updating departmental work procedures and checklist templates.

Qualifications

1) Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Degree.  

2) 4 to12 years of experience in design of rotating and packaged equipment such as API & Non-API pumps

3) Experience in packaged equipment is a preferred additional experience - Compressor, cooling tower, chiller, air dryer, nitrogen generation unit, boiler, side stream filtration, Raw / DM / Wastewater treatment plants, DAF unit, Chemical dosing system, agitator, EOT cranes etc.

4) Very good grasp of international codes related to the field. 

5) Sound knowledge of material standards, inspection requirements and testing requirements including NDE.  

6) Skilled in mechanical datasheets preparation, technical specs, enquiry requisition preparation, technical bid evaluation, purchase requisition writing and vendor documents review 

7) Familiar with interdisciplinary reviews of datasheets, specifications and vendor documents.
