Position Summary

The Chicago Mail Order pharmacy has an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level. We are looking for a Team Lead in the Dispensing area. The Team Lead role build upon the skills and responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician and are focused on being a role model, mentor, and guide to the pharmacy technicians while supporting the supervisors and management team. This position provides an opportunity to excel in a highly complex environment.

Essential Functions:

• Triage pharmacy tasks and balance efficiency with accuracy.

• Works both independently and as team in a fast-paced environment while ensure compliance standards are met.

• Actively seeks to expand their knowledge of the workflow of the entire pharmacy, look out for opportunities to contribute on an individual and team basis, and needs to be easily adaptable to daily changes.

• Proactively take on additional tasks and responsibilities, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and identify opportunities and share insight on how to improve workflow.

• Leads with heart by setting example of outstanding performance for his or her team. Remains flexible for both schedule and business needs, provides coaching, is supportive and respectful while always striving to get better.

Schedule requires working alternate Saturdays

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be able to:

• Provide verification of high school diploma, GED or 2 years of equivalent work experience

• A pply for a n Illinois P harmacy T echnician L icense and provide verification before your first day

• Regular and predictable attendance

• W ork mandatory overtime/extended work week , when needed

• Ability to occasionally lift/reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk with up to 40 lbs to move objects

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal Pharmacy Technician training and/or experience

• Certified Pharmacy Technician

• Experience in m edical , f ulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare e nvironments

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team

  Physical Demands:

• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for moving from one work area to another or within the same work area

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer screen, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

• The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted

• Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm

• Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

• Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist

• Stooping to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles

• Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately

• Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Education

Verifiable H igh School diploma , GED or equivalent work experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $37.02

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
