CVS Health Calibration Technician – Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift in Mount Prospect, Illinois

Job Description

CVS Specialty Mail is looking for a Canister Calibration Technician. If you’re looking for a fresh perspective to your work in calibration, consider pharmacy. You can expect a highly organized, clean, and collaborative work environment where every single role is critical to our patient’s health. The rate for this role is $21.74 with ample opportunities for advancement . This is a full-time role with guaranteed 40 - hours per week and premium pay for consistent weekends or company holidays worked.

In this role you will be responsible for calibrating equipment to ensure that it meets company and industry standa rds, conducting tests to confirm measurements, and maintaining process documentation.

Your resp onsibilities include:

  • Calibrate and maintain tools used for measuring medication doses in canisters.

  • Ensure accurate and reliable calibration of canisters to meet CVS Health and industry standards.

  • Conduct regular tests and inspections to verify the accuracy and functionality of calibration equipment.

  • Document calibration processes, ensuring comprehensive records for quality control purposes.

  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to address calibration-related issues and provide technical support.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies in canister measurements promptly.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the pharmacy setting

    Schedule:

    Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 2pm-12:30am

    Required Qualifications

    Candidates must be able to:

  • Demonstrate 6+ months of experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment/ mechanical components.

  • Apply for an Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and provide verification before your first day

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam successfully passed by December 31st of your 2nd IL Pharmacy Technician License renewal

  • Provide verification of high school diploma, GED or 2 years of equivalent work experience

  • Work mandatory overtime/extended work week, when needed (is this true?)

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards relevant to canister calibration.

    Physical Demands:

  • Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for moving from one work area to another or within the same work area

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs to move objects

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer screen, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted

  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

  • Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist

  • Stooping to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles

  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately

  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments

  • Previous experience with preventive maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and maintenance of equipment in a production environment (Vending machine, Slot machine, Arcade games, etc ).

  • Experience with drug canisters and OptiFill operation.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel

    Education

  • Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required .

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $27.54

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
