Quality Inspector

job summary:

Contract manufacturer is seeking a mechanical quality inspector to join their team in Morgan Hill, CA. The inspector will inspect custom machined parts from company and supplier production lines and work closely with engineering and project management to put quality and inspection plans into place.

work hours: 7am to 3pm

education: High School


  • First article and mechanical inspection and measurement of machined components

  • Work closely with NPI engineering and production management to develop and put into practice quality and first article plans

  • Internal and external audits, development of supplier scorecards, development of solutions for non-conformances, etc.


  • High school diploma / GED

  • 5+ years of experience in a mechanical inspection role

  • Highly competent with first article inspections, deviation and sampling rates.

  • Understand and explain GD&T specs

  • Ability to use solid modeling and setting up and configuring CNC CMMs

  • Experience developing mechanical inspection quality plans
