Lowe's Sr. Learning Consultant in Mooresville, North Carolina

Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to understand the enterprise learning strategy and lead the development of integrated learning programs for Lowe's associates and leaders. The role develops and integrates learning programs for associates to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives as well as ensures operations and deliverables meet and exceed organizational objectives and integrate with other HR functions as appropriate. This role is responsible for consulting with sponsors and stakeholders, conducting needs analysis, creating blended learning solutions, leading projects, programs and project teams, consulting with business leaders on learning solutions and implementing measures to ensure effectiveness. To accomplish this, the Sr. Learning Consultant must have knowledge of Lowe's leadership principles/core behaviors, business policies, strategies and operational environment.

What you will do

  • Drives the delivery of learning strategies and programs across complex multi-function organizations. Lead cross-functional projects and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities within established constraints.

  • Leads the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of managers’ and associates’ performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.

  • Gathers and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to monitor the effectiveness of a portfolio of learning solutions and/or programs; uses data to drive improvement of learning solutions/programs

  • Is a trusted advisor who proactively engages leaders, embraces ‘leader as teacher’ and builds strong, collaborative working relationships with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), business leaders, team members, vendors and other key stakeholders

  • Leads and directs multiple concurrent projects or programs, identifying interdependencies within and across programs

  • Consults and provides advice on the learning development process for successful delivery of the learning solution, program, and/or initiative

  • Supports a collaborative learning culture that engages employees, managers, and the associate readiness team as partners in building the organizational skill base.

  • Supports the development of and mentors other learning professionals on the team

  • Establishes measurement strategy to ensure learning solutions directly support and can drive positive impacts on business metrics

  • Leads project

  • Providing clear expectations and timely performance and development feedback

  • Inspiring productivity by establishing a clear vision, maintaining two-way communication, and distributing the workload to project team members in an organized manner

  • Establishing clear objectives and a sense of ownership among project team members and then carefully monitor progress and results

  • As required, may serve as a facilitator using approved facilitator resources or coordinate internal and external facilitators

  • As required, designs, develops, and implements blended learning solutions that address root cause issues to drive business performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Education; Instructional Design; Organizational Development; Learning, Leadership, Psychology, Human Resources; Business or related field OR 4 years relevant experience

  • 6 years’ demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and experience in instructional design, learning delivery, program implementation, program evaluation preferably for a large multi-state and/or global company.

  • 5 years of progressive experience one or more specialty functions of Human Resources, with a significant portion focused on talent management (e.g., employee and/or leadership development, instructional design, training, performance management)

  • 5 years’ experience successfully consulting with sponsors & stakeholders and managing multiple priorities & projects through successful delivery & implementation under time, budget, and political pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Education; Instructional Design; Organizational Development; Human Resources; Industrial-Organization Psychology; MBA or related field

  • Experience with multiple design modalities- e-learning, classroom, virtual, gamification, etc

  • Experience managing and influencing vendors

  • Retail Experience
