Lowe's HR Systems Manager in Mooresville, North Carolina

Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team of HR Systems consultants and analysts in the configuration, support, and testing of HR application solutions. The HR Systems Manager partners with other HR functions to support and implement technology projects for HR. This includes providing oversight of the implementation and maintenance of HR products to ensure successful deployment and support of the HR applications. This individual also provides insight and recommendations to inform the vision and strategy for the HR System in which responsible for.

This is a leader of people who clears obstacles for his/her team while empowering and enabling others to solve complex technical and business problems. To be successful, the individual in this role must bring a strong combination of business and technical acumen and be able to provide solutions that balance the unique needs of both the business and Technology. The individual in this role identifies and manages projects independently while working closely with both internal and external partners.

What you will do

  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of the applicable HR System, which includes managing the application’s project and enhancement/break-fix backlog and prioritizing work for the team

  • Supports the Director of HR Systems by providing input to the HR systems strategy, ensuring that operations and deliverables meet or exceed organizational objectives and integrate as appropriate with other HR functions.

  • Develops and manages the system roadmap, demonstrating expertise at the product level, building partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and making trade-off decisions for the applicable HR system.

  • Ensures compliance with requirements for assigned HR transactional processes. Assures that third party vendors adhere to established service level agreements, and provide feedback regarding performance.

  • Oversees activities regarding back-end data in the HR Systems and processes within, including research and correction of data integrity issues and/or errors.

  • Reviews processes and makes recommendations for new solutions, improvements, and/or enhancements to existing company or HR related processes and procedures via the use of technology.

  • Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management.

  • Manages the completion of component integration (CIT) scenarios, systems integration testing (SIT) and responsible for ensuring that user acceptance testing (UAT) is completed successfully.

  • Builds and leverages solid working relationships with HR and Technology to facilitate successful system implementations.

  • Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments within the HR Systems team.

  • Controls project risks by analyzing and identifying trigger events, establishing response and contingency plans and recommending ways to mitigate future risks.

  • Works with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize system issues and customer experience gaps; uses findings to determine short and medium-term risk and opportunities for the system and drive further customer adoption.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for addressing highly complex or ambiguous HR system or process problems that often involve multiple stakeholder teams and span across product groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Information Technology or related field and 8 years of Managing HR Systems configuration; progressive experience in implementing solutions with ERP software

  • 6 years of experience in managing projects, people and stakeholders

  • 4 years of experience leading global systems teams with direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Human Resources, Information Technology or related field and 4 years of experience working for a large organization and/or global retailer
