Lowe's Assistant Marketing Manager, Private Brands - Remote in Mooresville, North Carolina

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager of Brand Marketing, Private Brands will work with Brand Marketing leadership to assist in developing differentiated, meaningful brands. Additionally, will support in conceiving strategies that capitalize on growth opportunities with prioritized customer segments by leveraging consumer insights, understanding the competitive landscape and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the overall strategic success of Lowe's owned brands. The position will report to the Manager or Sr Manager of Brand Marketing, Private Brands and will serve as a subject matter expert of an assigned owned brand(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Consumer Insights to strategically manage our private brand portfolio​. Supports the brand marketing manager in analyzing/interpreting data and insights to draw clear, actionable conclusions within the business area he/she serves as a subject matter expert

  • Assist to build individual brand strategies, lead brand positioning and ongoing brand oversight and integrity of Lowe’s owned brands. The Assistant Manager will be the expert in the brand/brands that they manage and will work closely with the Product Development Teams to ensure a consolidated, structured, and simple brand strategy is in place.

  • Develops the creative brief to inform overall the brand positioning, segmentation and deliverables for the creative team. Additionally supports creative team and agency on Visual Brand Identity and Style Guides (Packaging, Photography, Online Standards, Signage and other consumer touchpoints.

  • Works with and supports Marketing Manager to establish new brand opportunities and ongoing whitespace extensions within existing brands through consumer insights and ongoing landscape scans.

  • Understand competitive dynamics and be subject matter expert of competing brand positioning within your category areas of responsibility

  • Partner with Private Brands product team on assortment line designs to ensure alignment to brand standards.Focus on ensuring brand language, product consistency and brand positioning and that they are both communicated and adhered to with product selection, packaging, marketing and online representation.

  • Build marketing (Consumer-first GTM) strategy and launch plans to drive awareness and loyalty

  • Supports brand marketing manager on developing specific visual merchandising support plans to align in-store experiences to overall brand positioning; as well as .com with the experience team and event teams across Lowes.com.

  • Partner with the managers to drive alignment and commutations with key stakeholders, delivering on highly effective strategies, tactics and action plans that meet critical KPIs.

  • Works closely with project management team, marketing operations team, creative, .com, store environment, product development managers and merchants to operationalize and execute the work.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or relevant field

• 4+ years’ overall marketing experience

• 1+ year(s) strong business acumen and experience running a P&L and/or working alongside P&L owners

• 1+ year(s) leadership experience

• 1+ year(s) experience writing strategic briefs and working cross-functionally and leading brand marketing or integrated teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year(s) experience leading brand or category work at a retailer or CPG company
