What you'll be doing

As a Client Associate, you will provide administrative and ongoing support to different teams that exceeds expectations for its clients. As a Client Associate in Wood Gundy's brokerage department, you will work closely with an Advisor, who plans and manages clients' investments, and their team. In this fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in supporting and servicing high-net-worth client accounts.

  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, French proficiency, MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

  • Recruitment timeline: Applications review – September/October; Interviews – October/November; Offers – November

  • Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages), a cover letter (no more than 1 page), and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded into the Resume section of the application as one document.

  • Work Location: In person position. Further clarity on the work location will be provided at the time of your interview. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada.

  • Duration of term: Winter 2025 term (January-April)

How You'll Succeed

  • Client Engagement - You'll connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Enhance relationships by collaborating with your team and providing administrative support to ensure client needs are met. Respond to requests by answering questions and providing an exceptional experience.

  • Critical Thinking - Verify documents in accordance with established signature delegation procedures to confirm that documents received from clients are complete and properly signed. Review complex legal agreements related to cash management products to enable the implementation of new products and changes to existing products. Close gaps in signing authority documents, escalate unresolved issues, enforce policies, or engage appropriate internal partners to facilitate resolution.

  • Organizational Skills - Support your Advisor by responding quickly to client requests and maintaining compliance standards on all files. Drive team success by improving team productivity, proactively uncovering business opportunities, and assisting in the allocation of assets to the right financial products.

  • Administrative Support - You'll maintain compliance standards in client dealings/client files. Conduct administrative activities and engage in administrative processes associated with branch management.
