Our Accounting Operations Advisory team offers an in-depth, investigative approach to modernizing Finance functions. We help our clients across all industries assess and enhance quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance people, process, infrastructure, and internal controls. What will your typical day look like?
As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Accounting Operations Advisory, you will be a part of team of like-minded individuals where you will work to contribute to our client’s success. You will:
Assist in the delivery of projects to improve finance functions in one or more of the following financial management functional areas: financial close and consolidation, management and financial reporting, software selection and implementation, shared services, and/or finance transformation
Review and contribute to the planning and execution of projects in the general finance space as well as in the area of technology advisory, as needed.
Participate and/or lead current state findings workshops in order to understand and document key financial processes (i.e. procure to pay, financial close, reporting, etc.)
Contribute to market and eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns within the practice
Develop materials for, and participate in the delivery of, presentations to clients and firm personnel
Assist with creation of proposals and other business development activities
Opportunities may arise to serve clients and / or support local office teams around the country and / or internationally
About the team
The Accounting Operations Advisory (AOA) practice focuses on the betterment of financial reporting developed, both for regulatory and management purposes, by applying deep accounting operations and financial reporting expertise to the Finance function. There are several pillars core to our success and growth:
Automation & Sourcing: Controllership applications implementation & advisory, staff augmentation
Digital: Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain, Algorithm & Analytics
Diagnostics & Testing: Process, controls, systems assessments and selections, finance and talent operating model
Disruptive events: M&A, IPOs, dispositions, carveouts, private equity
Operate: Fully managed finance services
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
Experience working in a finance role or providing assurance, consulting & advisory services to finance functions
Full proficiency in French both written and verbal
2 to 3 years of relevant work experience
Background in Audit considered as a very strong asset
Experience in real estate, industrial, construction or consumer/retail industries is considered an asset
Strong technical skills & experience with accounting processes, internal controls, risk assessments, IFRS, and/or ASPE.
Expertise in financial management disciplines such as financial process design, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, financial performance management and business case development
Ability to translate client challenges into tactical improvement opportunities and develop requirements from a strategic perspective
Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Experience in Data Analytics/Visualization (Tableau) tools and translating Finance data into insights considered an asset
Nice to have : Pursing or completed CPA, CA designation
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $106,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
