Réseau de l’information (ICI RDI) is seeking a Reporter/Editor to work in its Montreal newsroom.
Your role
As a Reporter/Editor, you must be able to write clearly and accurately on news stories and social issues, in accordance with corporate standards and practices.
This is a permanent full-time position. As an indication, this person will be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and days, on a variable basis. Schedules will change according to operational needs.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Three (3) years’ journalism experience
Skills:
Extensive general knowledge
Excellent knowledge of current events
Strong television writing skills
Experience in digital journalism is an asset
Strong knowledge of editing and production techniques for TV newscasts is an asset
Ability to analyze, synthesize and think critically
Superior French language skills
Proficiency in English (reading and speaking) is an asset
Understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend shifts
