CityNews is looking for a next-level digital writer-producer to provide industry leading local news coverage.

The digital producer will demonstrate exceptional reporting skills while producing compelling stories that will make people talk, for web, television and other media platforms.

Responsibilities:

Gathers and verifies factual information regarding stories through interview, observation, and research

Organizes material and writes engaging, relevant and concise news stories under tight deadlines according to prescribed editorial style and format standards

Posts stories on website and social media platforms

Generates compelling story ideas and knowledgeable contacts and responds to breaking news situations quickly and accurately

Generates compelling multi-media content for Citynews.ca for various markets

Be fluent in social media trends with a personal social media accounts and the knowledge to use them to generate stories and ideas

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years proven experience generating powerful, credible original content

Relevant degree / diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution

Proven knowledge of Wordpress

Excellent knowledge of the cultural and political landscape of Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proven ability to work well in a team environment

Must be able to multi-task and deliver under tight - continuous -deadlines

Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment

Must be available to work evenings and weekends

CityNews est à la recherche d'un rédacteur-producteur pour le web - de haut niveau pour fournir une couverture de l'actualité locale de premier plan.

Le producteur numérique fera preuve de compétences exceptionnelles en matière de reportage tout en produisant des histoires captivantes qui feront parler d'elles, pour le web, la télévision et d'autres plates-formes médiatiques.

Responsabilités :

Recueillir et vérifier les informations factuelles concernant les articles par le biais d'entretiens, d'observations et de recherches.

Organiser le matériel et rédiger des articles attrayants, pertinents et concis dans des délais serrés, en respectant le style éditorial et les normes de présentation prescrits.

Publie les articles sur le site web et les plateformes de médias sociaux

Générer des idées d'articles convaincants et des contacts bien informés, et répond aux situations de nouvelles de dernière minute rapidement et avec précision.

Générer du contenu multimédia attrayant pour Citynews.ca sur différents marchés.

Maîtriser les tendances des médias sociaux, avoir un compte personnel sur les médias sociaux et savoir les utiliser pour générer des articles et des idées.

Qualifications :

Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience prouvée dans la production de contenu original puissant et crédible.

Diplôme pertinent d'un établissement d'enseignement postsecondaire reconnu

Connaissance de Wordpress

Excellente connaissance du paysage culturel et politique de Montréal, Winnipeg et Edmonton.

Excellentes aptitudes aux relations interpersonnelles et à la communication

Capacité avérée à travailler en équipe

Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à respecter des délais serrés et continus.

Capacité à faire preuve de souplesse dans un environnement de travail en constante évolution.

Doit être disponible pour travailler le soir et le week-end.
