Your role

Would you like to join a dynamic team of approximately 150 web developers, including Backend, Frontend, mobile, QA, and more?

As a DevOps, your mission will be to participate in the evolution and maintenance of a robust and scalable infrastructure, entirely deployed as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on Azure. You will primarily be at the heart of initiatives related to Machine Learning (ML), working closely with the ML and Big Data teams to support them in improving DevOps and MLOps best practices. Therefore, we are looking for someone passionate about technologies and practices associated with ML, with strong teamwork skills. Part of your job will also involve supporting the Web development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

ML-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist ML collaborators, whether they are data specialists or developers, in implementing MLOps best practices in terms of deployment, automation, monitoring, and security.

  • Support ML collaborators in setting up automated pipelines for training, validation, and deployment of models.

  • Assist ML collaborators in developing scripts and automation and maintenance tools.

  • Support ML collaborators in solving issues related to deployment and infrastructure.

DevOps Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests from development teams regarding deployment and infrastructure.

  • Participate in resolving production issues or production environment concerns by monitoring the JIRA service desk.

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.

  • Create and maintain Terraform/TerraSpace templates for provisioning infrastructure on Azure.

  • Participate in various stages of maintenance for development and production infrastructure.

  • Implement scripts and tools to support the automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.

  • Work with the SRE team to analyze and remedy performance issues identified in production.

  • Configure and manage development, test, and production environments.

  • Respond quickly to alerts and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.

  • Participate in incident management and problem resolution.

  • Implement and maintain up-to-date security measures to protect applications and infrastructure.

You may be required to do paid on-call work.

Position Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps, Sysadmin, or Web development

  • At least 2 years of experience with ML technologies, Big Data, and Data Science

  • Good knowledge (at least 2 years) of Python

  • Knowledge of Golang an asset

  • Good understanding of DevOps and MLOps workflows

  • Familiarity with ML as a Service platforms such as Azure ML, Amazon SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI, or experience in developing MLOps automation feedback with other tools

  • Passion for issues and new developments in the world of DevOps / MLOps / SecOps

  • Good knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps (ADO)

  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm for application deployment and management

  • Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles

  • Knowledge of Git for source code management

  • Knowledge of Bash, Ansible an asset

  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks an asset

  • Rigorous, autonomous, proactive, and resourceful

  • Proficiency in French and functional knowledge of written and spoken English an asset
