Summary

The Vice President, Investor Relations (VP IR) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for articulating Bell Canada's financial performance, strategy, and growth prospects to the investment community. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the company’s external financial communication strategy, managing relationships with investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders, and providing strategic counsel to the executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy to effectively communicate Bell Canada's vision, strategy, and financial performance to investors, analysts, and key stakeholders.

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, annual reports, and other financial disclosures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of transparency and accuracy.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and analysts, acting as the primary point of contact for investment community inquiries and foster a comprehensive understanding of their perspectives.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, investor sentiment, and competitive positioning. Provide the executive team with relevant insights and strategic recommendations based on market intelligence and investor feedback.

  • Organize and lead investor meetings, roadshows, investor conferences, and other events to engage with investors and communicate Bell Canada’s strategy and financial performance effectively.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including corporate finance, legal, communications, and strategy, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across the organization.

  • Lead and develop the Investor Relations team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CFA designation is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry, including a strong grasp of financial metrics, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market information.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and internal stakeholders. Strong networking and relationship management skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in developing high-performing teams and driving organizational success.

  • Highest ethical standards, with a commitment to transparency, accountability, and corporate governance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic investor relations plans that align with corporate goals and drive shareholder value.

  • Extensive experience managing IR efforts for publicly traded companies.

  • Understanding of Canadian financial regulations and reporting standards.

  • Experience working within large, complex organizations and managing cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations.

  • High level of proficiency in IR tools and platforms, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or similar.

  • Proactive, results-oriented approach with a track record of successfully navigating and adapting to market changes and investor expectations.

  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.

  • Strong public relations experience, including managing press releases and investor communications during high-profile financial events.
