BDC TALENT ACQUISITION ADVISOR in Montreal, Canada

This role requires a presence at the business centres across Quebec & the Atlantic region.

Our Talent Acquisition service model is a centre of expertise , with a team that:

  • Provides proximity and market knowledge to BDC leaders.

  • Supports and advises leaders on their current recruitment needs.

  • Works proactively to build talent pools for Financing and BDC Advisory Services lines of business.

  • Proactively headhunts to submit qualified candidates to internal partners.

  • Keeping "diversity" top of mind at every stage of the talent acquisition process

Your mission:

Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition

You will develop a relationship of trust with leaders and become a key strategic partner in:

  • Orchestrating every stage of the talent acquisition process

  • Understanding clients' current needs from the outset and propose appropriate strategies.

  • Presenting quality candidates while taking into account the clients’ reality

  • Acting as an ambassador for a culture in which the hiring process allows our candidates to have a privileged experience.

  • Developing, supporting, and adapting recruitment strategies for each market, proposing ideas for continuous improvement

  • Managing several recruitments from A to Z at the same time, set priorities and adapt them in real time.

  • Helping to build and maintain your candidate pools of potential candidates at all times, with in-depth knowledge of the Quebec & Atlantic job markets.

  • Working in sourcing mode: Identify and convert the best potential candidates; master both research tools and the art of approaching passive candidates!

  • Establishing relevant partnerships with universities to strengthen BDC's brand image and network to recruit diverse talent locally.

  • Representing BDC and participate in networking activities and job fairs to increase employer brand awareness.

Your goals for the first year: as a talent acquisition advisor

  • Become a strategic partner for the Quebec & Atlantic financing team

  • Propose concrete talent acquisition strategies that enable teams to meet current and future needs.

  • Act as a BDC ambassador to universities and other key partners such as diversity organizations.

  • Develop trusting relationships with the Talent Acquisition team and with your HR colleagues.

You will be happy and fulfilled with us if you recognize yourself in the following elements:

  • You have demonstrated experience in the banking industry

  • Bachelor's degree + 5 years in Talent Acquisition, ideally in the banking sector

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Exceptional customer/candidate/team awareness.

  • Ideally, you've worked in both an agency and a corporate environment, and you're more at home in a team environment (as opposed to a competitive one), where we all work together for the same company.

  • You understand that, to influence leaders, you need credibility, business acumen and the ability to listen.

  • A positive, motivating person, always ready to lend a helping hand to others, who puts the team's success before his or her own.

  • Energetic, fast, and comfortable making decisions with the right amount of information.

  • You're hands-on, results-oriented and known for your perseverance.

A valid driver's license as well as access to a vehicle is required.
