Founded in 1983, Bimcor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Canada, currently manages over $30 billion invested in a wide range of public and private financial assets, mainly on behalf of pension funds of Bell Canada and its various subsidiaries and affiliates. Bimcor’s head office is in Montréal and it ranks as one of the largest private sector pension fund managers in Canada.

The incumbent will support and address ad-hoc requests from the Investment team .

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in due diligence meetings and quarterly updates with asset managers

  • Provide detailed financial analysis for new investment opportunities using excel based financial models

  • Review investment activity reports from external asset managers and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc portfolio review reports and pitch decks for new investment opportunities

  • Review weekly research reports, webinars and relevant market data using Bloomberg and other subscriptions

  • Assist in the market mapping exercise for target markets and sectors

  • Assist in portfolio ESG assessments and Green investment data collection

  • Participate in activities related to the portfolio management software implementation

  • Complete any other task as requested by the investment team

  • Bilingualism required: In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Critical Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate degree in progress (2nd or 3rd year) with a concentration in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences or a related field

  • Good base knowledge of the investment world

  • Proficiency in financial analysis

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and Financial Modeling (basic level) an asset

  • Mature, flexible, autonomous, highly motivated team player with good communication skills

  • In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Internship start date May 2 2025 to September 1 2025 or until December 12 2025
