POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an App and Web Analytics Implementation Expert to join our Client Analytics team within the Marketing and Communications (MarCom) department. Our team is responsible for analytics implementation across BDC digital platforms. In this role the candidate will work with our digital platforms’ products owners and developers to implement tracking solutions. They will write technical specifications, conduct quality assurance, monitor analytics to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of implemented solutions and will configure the Tag Management System.

The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in Google Analytics, tag management systems and App & Web tracking. They will have an analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. They should be comfortable working in an evolving environment where curiosity and flexibility are key to adapt to new tools and processes.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Advanced Google Analytics Expertise:

  • Implement and maintain Google Analytics configurations.

  • Develop and execute advanced analytics strategies to measure website and app performance, user behavior, and marketing campaign effectiveness.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Create custom reports and dashboards to visualize data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Tag Management System Configuration:

  • Design and implement TMS setups, including Server-Side Tagging for improved data quality and privacy compliance.

  • Create and manage data layers, triggers, and tags to efficiently track website and app interactions.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate data collection and integration.

App & Web Tracking Implementation and Monitoring:

  • Work with digital platforms products owners, developers and architects to design and implement tracking strategies for web and mobile applications.

  • Integrate with other analytics tools and platforms (e.g. Evergage, Firebase) to provide a comprehensive view of user data.

  • Creation of measurement plans and update web or mobile Solution Design Refence (SDR).

  • Provide technical specifications to web and mobile developers. Conduct quality assurance and monitoring.

  • Take accountability and ownership in resolving Digital tracking issues or bugs.

  • Identify existence of bugs, root-causes, coordinate solution delivery across cross-functional development teams.

  • Conduct regular audits of tracking implementation and identifying recommendations to improve data structure and reporting

Reporting and Dataset Management:

  • Work with BI team to correctly implement Google Analytics data extractions and transformation through Big Query and Databricks

  • Provide data transformation instructions

  • Develop and maintain Power BI datasets and reports that provide stakeholders with clear visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs).

Training and Best practices:

  • Build Google analytics training for other data analysts and end-users

  • Maintain and improve internal processes and documentation governing all aspects of analytics tagging, implementation, QA and reporting, including continuous improvement of these processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) are a plus

  • Minimum of  5 years  of experience in web or mobile application development or analytics tools (Google analytics, Adobe analytics…).

  • Minimum of 5 years configuring tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch…) and implementing tracking solutions on Web or Mobile applications and 3 years of experience using Firebase .

  • Experience in developing analytics tagging architectures, authoring technical specification documents, and working with front and backend development teams to implement analytics tracking solutions.

  • Web development experience including knowledge of JavaScript (or any of its flavors) HTML, and CSS for implementing tracking codes.

  • Strong understanding of web and mobile analytics frameworks and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with Tealium iQ Tag Management and how it integrates with other platforms.

  • Understanding of Firebase services like Firebase debugging, and Cloud Messaging.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly and a fast learner.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to work in French and English is required

  • Hybrid position with two days a week in the office in Montreal
