POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Advisor, Digital Platforms oversees the delivery of all publications and evolution initiatives on external and internal digital platforms. They are responsible for production phases such as brief intake, analysis, documentation, planning, prioritization, integration, acceptance testing and follow-up with customers to ensure the needs are well met. They work in an agile environment, where the needs of the parties involved, opportunities and risks are constantly evolving. The senior advisor ensures that the platforms and tools remain coherent, of high quality and aligned with business needs.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Act as a web expert for any change request on web portals; advise customers by identifying their needs and delivering solutions that offer the best experience, that take into account all constraints.
Manage the creation and prioritization of the backlog of initiatives, including the writing of user stories and the acceptance criteria. Ensure the team focuses on the highest value items, that are aligned with the product vision
Act as the client's representative during interactions with the various web specialists. Understand the principles on which they are based and ensure that the proposed recommendations meet the client's needs. Ensure that the customer approves the recommendations (get the buy-in).
Manage day-to-day relationships with business partners to adequately meet their needs and effectively communicate the team’s progress. Act as the first level of support for web platforms, being the main point of contact for all requests internally or externally.
Act as project manager and work closely with the various stakeholders to complete the deliverables, while respecting the agreed upon deadlines. Manage challenges and propose solutions that minimize risks and impacts on time and resources, and share them with stakeholders.
Be responsible for what is published online by ensuring that the established standards are respected (e.g. consistency with existing content, presentation, accessibility, brand image, content, SEO) and by approving the online posting.
Actively participates in the acceptance tests to certify proper functioning and the absence of defects before going into production.
Train web content contributors by ensuring that they receive appropriate user manuals, updates, and access rights to the tools and are aware of best practices and publishing processes.
Ensure that work practices, tools and processes remain relevant by keeping abreast of best practices and the evolution of digital technologies, assessing their relevance in the context of BDC and making recommendations for improvement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
University degree in business administration, marketing, web design or related discipline.
At least five years of experience in a similar position
Experience working with a content management tool
PSPO certification, an asset
Strong customer service orientation, demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate action
Great knowledge of the web, good knowledge of HTML and CSS languages, and the principles of ergonomics, user experience, SEO and web writing.
Ability to coordinate resources and clearly present information with colleagues.
Great ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once in a continuously changing environment.
Experience in Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban)
Experience as a proxy product owner, an asset
Experience with Optimizely and Azure DevOps, an asset
Team spirit and ability to adapt
Bilingualism and excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
