Pearson Technical Project Manager in Montgomery, Alabama
Responsibilities:
Support PALS product managers with customer forums, focus groups, surveys, and interviews, as needed. Support documentation to inform future additions to roadmaps.
Assist with creating and managing detailed product roadmaps and schedules for assigned products.
Collaborate across functional groups to ensure that the specific goals of the products are well understood and executed on, and any known gaps are clearly documented and communicated.
Ensure product engineering teams are clear on development priority.
Define and document technical requirements in collaboration with the engineering teams.
Ensure customer feedback is continuously infused into development activities by conducting customer interviews.
Sign off on all technical requirements.
Ensure all defects are resolved prior to release.
Participate in all sprint planning, story pointing, demo and sprint retrospective meetings.
Assist in the development of presentations, reports, and other product materials.
Identify issues, manage escalations, follow through on long-term resolutions.
Work with product teams to create and update client-facing ancillary materials, including training manuals and user guides.
Support Pearson School Assessment implementation teams as needed.
Maintain product documentation for team members outside of the Assessment Product organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree
5+ years product, project or program management
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
Strong leadership skills and attention to detail
Ability and desire to work as part of a globally distributed and virtual teams
Ability to solve problems creatively
Develops working understanding of functional group processes and development timelines
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Skills & Experience Preferred:
3+ years developing K-12 academic assessment products
Experience managing large assessment technology platforms
