Pearson Outbound Marketing Specialist in Montgomery, Alabama

As an Outbound Marketing Specialist focused on school district, parochial schools, private school, charters and Juvenile Justice agencies and their consideration of Advanced Placement, Honors and Career and Technical Education curriculum. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, establishing brand identity, and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing targeted outbound marketing campaigns to generate leads and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in school districts and assisting sales teams in communicating value propositions to their accounts.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range is between $80,000 to $90,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Development: Design and implement outbound marketing campaigns tailored to the needs of school districts and other secondary education entities, including email marketing, cold calling, and direct mail.

  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities for the sales team.

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the unique challenges and needs of school districts, and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals and ensure cohesive messaging.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of outbound campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling content for outbound campaigns, including emails, call scripts, and promotional materials.

  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking lead interactions and campaign outcomes.

  • Collaboration with Campaign Marketing and DCE Team: Support the development of the Product Development Plan (PDP), focusing on ISBN mapping and establishing standard copy for Redemption Instructions and Tech

  • Ecommerce Catalog Management: Develop and maintain a clear framework for organizing products on our ecommerce/marketing platform. Regularly update and adapt the taxonomy to reflect institutional business decision makers and the AP/Electives, Dual Enrollment, and CTE offerings.

  • Program Mapping: Collaborate with teams to connect marketing programs with relevant sales activities. Continuously assess and optimize program-product mappings for better customer experience and marketing results.

  • Marketing Strategy and Performance Analysis: Analyze metrics and data to evaluate the success of marketing programs. Develop compelling messaging and positioning for our products. Use market insights to influence product development. Monitor CRM for performance related to lead generation, emerging opportunities, and close rate.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with different teams, including Higher Education Product and Product Marketing teams, to ensure smooth integration of taxonomies, program mappings, and commercialization efforts for the K-12 market. Collaborate with content creators, designers, and analysts to create effective marketing materials. Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on taxonomy-related matters.

  • Partner with Product Specialists and Product Marketers (Higher Ed focused) to create customer focused videos optimized for the secondary school consumer for marketing and instructional purposes.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in outbound marketing, preferably within the Secondary and/or higher education sector or B2B sales.

  2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade key decision-makers.

  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.

  4. Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.

  5. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

  6. Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a focus on building relationships and closing deals.

  7. Preferred to be proficient in the use of digital video creation tools and video production and publishing.
