Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Information Systems Strategic Manager will be responsible for managing all HRIS strategic system requirements for HR. This individual will be responsible for the HRIS strategy, planning, design and execution for the technology needs of the HR organization. This individual must have excellent collaboration skills to be able to work with various colleagues across the bank to understand business requirements and think of opportunities to leverage technology, to increase productivity, improve employee enablement and efficiency and be forward thinking from a strategic perspective.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Researches, develops and executes a HRIS strategy.

  • Responsible for working with COEs to address HRIS requirements and identify technology solutions.

  • Researches industry best practices and leverages a network to stay up-to-date on all HR technology advancements.

  • Research new functionality in Workday and perform configuration to implement.

  • Develop and manage the HRIS technology Governance Process.

  • Represent the HRIS team in cross-functional meetings, serving as HRIS POC on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Provide input for designing and maintaining system configuration, specifications, and work with HR Business Integration team to review, research, and recommend updates and fixes for HR systems.

  • Ensure compliance with established process and procedures in an effort to improve service delivery; and provide interpretation in areas where policy, procedure or requirements are unclear.

  • Leads system-wide initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of human resources business processes in accordance with priorities and direction approved by the HRLT.

  • Recommends project plans and strategies for HRIS projects for new development or significant modifications of HRIS applications.

  • Employ Project Management methodologies, to include project charters, statements of work, business case description and other project planning documents, to drive innovative solutions and the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.

  • Drafts functional design specifications for programming modifications and revisions, and coordinates development with IT-Enterprise Systems staff.

  • Act as a consultant to HR functional leadership to ensure effective implementation of HRIS programs.

  • Collaborates with Information Technology management staff and HR functional teams regarding HRIS system-wide projects and new systems availability.

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning in recognizing data/information issues and opportunities for the organization.

  • 6 to 10 years of business leadership experience with an international company, preferably in a Global Financial Services Institution

  • Proven ability to develop a HRIS strategic plan

  • Experience with HR information systems and applications

  • Process improvement experience (MBB certification preferred)
