In this role, you will be reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into our computer system. As part of our Specialty Team, you are empowered to partner with the pharmacists and route questionable prescriptions for efficient resolution and order completion. In this role you will have a positive impact on the work flow by utilizing and sharpen your accuracy and efficiency in reading and interpreting prescriptions and strengthening your data entry skills. You will get the autonomy to make outbound calls and fax physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. In addition, you will be responsible for resolving and entering incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained. The most successful Specialty Pharmacy Technicians possess high levels of reliability, accuracy,professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, and problem solving abilities. Duties may also include, but not limited to, answering patient phone calls as business needs occur.

CVS Specialty is a part of CVSHealth, located in Monroeville at the entrance of Monroeville Mall. Our location is spacious and is accessible by car or bus from the Parkway East and PA Turnpike as we are located directly on Business Route 22.
We offer a competitive wage which includes paid training. Training is approximately 2-3 weeks Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. After training, we are currently offering a steady 40 hour shift.

Ability to read, interpret and enter prescriptions into the computer system.
Minimum 6 months’ work experience as a medical biller, medical assistant, EMT or pharmacy technician training.
Experience with running insurance claims a plus
National Pharmacy Technician Certification
Formal Pharmacy Technician training
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
