Novant Health Security Operations Center Manager (SOC) in Monroe, North Carolina
Overview
The Manager, Security Operations Center is directly responsible for managing and maintaining the installation and functionality of all Public Safety applications at the SOC, and is the primary liaison with Public Safety leaders, ITS, vendors, and individual department leaders.

Qualifications
Education: High School or GED,required.4 Year / Bachelors Degree,preferred
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of corporate experience in a successful supervisory/management role Communications/Call center or healthcare security experience, required.2 yrs as a Supervisor in a high volume call center,preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: APCO Public Safety Telecomm I; Cert APCO Training Officer or Instructor, preferred. Designated PSP by ASIS or CHPA within 3 yrs of employment, required.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Strong knowledge of current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures including law enforcement; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; decision making. Strong leadership skills. Ability to work with diverse team members and achieve goals set forth by the Vice President, Public Safety. Total knowledge of all systems utilized at the Security Operations Center (SOC) (access controls, duress and premises alarms, closed circuit television (CCTV), infant abduction systems, radio and telephone communications, emergency communications, situational awareness software, etc.) and internet protocol (IP) systems where Public Safety is the business owner for the application. Satisfactorily completes all required organizational and departmental training programs, possesses intermediate level computer skills and competency testing.Able to accurately receive and transmit information via radio and telephone.Able to accurately receive and transmit information via radio and telephone.No criminal record.Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally during stressful situations.Maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Risk Management requirements.Maintain a valid driving record in state of residence and immediately notifies Director, Public Safety Technology and Preparedness of any and all charges relating to the operation of a motor vehicle and/or criminal complaint.
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Security, law enforcement or military communications experience.
