Atrium Health Endocrinology is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing practice in Monroe, NC – just 45 minutes southeast of Uptown Charlotte. Join our dynamic team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the beautiful Union County Monroe area of North Carolina! In this exciting role, you'll support two single-physician endocrinology practices located just 15 minutes apart, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ year of experience as an APP required; prior Endocrinology or Internal Medicine experience preferred
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as an FNP from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
Physician Assistants with master’s degree and certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:
· Performs medical history, physical examinations, routine assessments and determines treatment plan for patients.
· Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a timely and medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record
· Acts as a patient and family advocate for the population served
· Participates in continuous quality improvement priorities, service delivery processes and service excellence initiatives
· Adheres to access & productivity policies & protocols to ensure that patients’ access to convenient care is optimized
· Adheres to standards and care protocols to deliver appropriate, innovative and cost-effective care management in-person and virtually
· Actively and regularly participates in the assigned meetings/committees

Education, Experience and Certification:
Degree of MD or DO from accredited medical school
Board Eligibility in a clinical discipline is required; Board Certification in a clinical discipline is required within three years of start date/contract effective date; Once obtained, Maintenance of Certification is required
