The Network Engineering Manager owns and oversees a business critical, customer facing product called jConnect VPN – a highly integrated network solution connecting financial institutions to a wide array of Jack Henry’s products. This is a high paced role requiring interaction across both customer and internal business units to ensure success.
This position will be filled to work out of any Jack Henry locations or Remote within the U.S.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Managing the support, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrades for the Jack Henry Network.
Managing a team consisting of Network Support Engineers supporting Jack Henry’s LAN, WAN, Wireless, branch and data center networks.
Managing the department and product, budget, and annual forecast to ensure financial targets.
Provide associates direction, goal setting, corrective actions and development.
Managing Network specifics tools like monitoring, IPAM, Netflow and packet captures.
Managing customer expectations and escalations through various channels.
Ensuring projects are equipped with the proper resources.
Working with vendors on new product offerings, pricing, support and availability of networking hardware, software, and licensing.
Managing team’s ticket queue’s to meet corporate SLA targets.
Researching network technology trends and their applicability to the company and/or our customers.
Managing and participating in an after-business hours on-call support rotation.
What you’ll need to have:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering/administration.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
What would be nice for you to have:
Associates or Bachelor's degree.
Experience with Cisco Nexus, ACI, MPLS, Wireless, DNS, DHCP and network monitoring suites.
Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Experience leading disperse and remote teams/associates.
Understanding of ITIL Service Management principles.
Relevant network certifications, i.e. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, ITIL, COBIT, etc.
