Summary

We have a hands-on delivery role as Senior Consultant for our Datacentre and Hybrid Cloud team, specializing in servers, storage, and virtualization. This role is crucial for delivering professional service consultations, implementation services, and managed services engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Delivery - Design, develop, and implement infrastructure solutions for customers.

  • Documentation - Create Statements of Work and detailed project documentation.

  • Technical Leadership - Lead onboarding of new solutions and provide implementation support.

  • Presales Support - Participate in presales activities and project effort estimations.

  • Team Collaboration - Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and suppliers.

  • Customer Engagement - Communicate regularly with Customer Service Account Managers to discuss results and plans.

  • Project Communication - Maintain clear communication with customers and internal groups.

  • Knowledge Transfer - Ensure smooth hand-off to day-2 operations teams.

Critical Qualifications - do not need to possess expertise in all areas

  • Networking and Security - Strong knowledge of networking and security concepts.

  • Virtualization Technologies - Expertise in VMware (6.x/7.x/8.x), HCI technologies (VSAN, Nutanix, Storage Spaces Direct).

  • Storage Systems - Proficiency with SAN storage systems (NetApp, Dell Unity, PowerStore, EMC VNX, Nimble, IBM) and SAN switches (Brocade, MDS).

  • Server and Hardware - HP, Cisco, Dell server/storage hardware (UCS, Synergy).

  • Backup Technologies - Familiarity with solutions like NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, Cohesity, Zerto.

  • Cloud Technologies - Expertise in Azure and AWS, with focus on hybrid environments and identity management. Intune, Defender, Exchange online, Modern workplace.

  • Operating Systems

  • Windows - Experience in Microsoft Windows System Design/Administration, Active Directory (local and hybrid), DNS, Windows automation, and WSUS.

  • Unix/Linux - Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems (Linux, CentOS, Solaris).

  • Programming and Automation - Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Satellite, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • VDI Solutions - Experience with VDI solutions (Citrix, RDS, Horizon, AVD).

Soft Skills

  • Documentation - Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documents.

  • Adaptability - Quick to adapt and adopt emerging technologies.

  • Analytical Skills - Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.

  • Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Customer Service - Strong customer service orientation with proactive problem-solving.

  • Multitasking - Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

  • ITIL Framework - Understanding of Change and Incident Management.

  • Experience - 5+ years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

  • Hypervisor certification (VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft).

  • Storage Certifications (EMC, Dell, HPe, NetApp, others).
