Job Description

WHAT"S THE JOB?

Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality, SITE QC Inspector is responsible for working with multiple discipline in coordinating the quality activities needed in the construction site to ensure (a) that processes are in conformance with established procedures and parameters, (b) construction activities are conforming applicable codes and other technical requirements.

Your work will include:

Inspection

Storage & Laydown

  • Conduct inspection of module storage and laydown area.

  • Communicate any deficiency or non-conformance found that will compromise module integrity and quality

  • Follow up action beyond duration of timeline

Scope Transfer

  • Participate in ensuring that materials and manufacturing scope transfer to construction are clear

  • Coordinate any issues arises from Scope transfer

Site Inspection

  • Conduct Site Inspection

  • Ensure that construction codes and other applicable requirements are met

  • Lead the issuance of NCR

  • Participate on construction related RCA

Conditions

  • Office environment with a flexible work schedule, potentially requiring work on evenings and weekends. Trained, as necessary, in required safety protocols.

  • Travel between construction sites is a requirement as needed.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college with a degree or diploma in Engineering, Trades and Technology, Quality or Safety, preferred.

  • Strong technical writing abilities.

  • Successful completion of Quality education leading to an advanced Quality designation (e.g. ASQ-CQE, ISO Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.

  • Five (5) years experience in wood-frame construction in either the commercial/industrial, factory building, modular or residential housing sectors.

  • Familiarity with the use of Provincial Code Books and Industry Quality Control Standards.

  • Solid proficiency in MS Office programs.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
