Canadian Tire Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)Tech Consultant in Mississauga, Ontario

What you'll do

The OTM Technical Consultant oversees all project tasks and outcomes linked to OTM infrastructure and platform architecture. This individual is responsible for managing configurations within the OTM cloud environment and is held accountable for delivering the appropriate level of assistance to IT and business associates.

In this role, you'll:

  • Architect the OTM infrastructure and platform architecture and provide guidance to the client on system architecture, sizing guidance, etc.

  • Advanced OTM Workflow Agent design and configuration

  • Install/Upgrade OTM platform components, including Oracle HTTP Server, Weblogic, Oracle Database, and OBIEE

  • OTM Integration design and development

  • Data migration and loading

  • OTM Operational and analytical report design and development

  • Performance tuning; scalability configuration; troubleshooting

  • Design and develop (deliver) product extensions, integrations, reports, etc.

  • Support all formal documentation of solutions, including requirements for product extensions, etc.

  • Support all solution activities, including testing and verification.

  • Work with the supply chain application teams on initiatives related to improving and/or sustaining critical, business systems and processes.

  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with interfacing groups within IT and across business boundaries.

  • Participating in reviews of the designs, prototypes and completed products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.

  • Work closely with Business SME teams for validation efforts

  • Creating and updating technical design documents and test scripts

What you bring

  • Education in Computer Science or similar is preferred

  • A minimum 1 full cycle implementations as a technical consultant using Oracle OTM

  • Configuration skills within the OTM Cloud

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Oracle implementation activities

  • Demonstrated competency in technical skills that include: Weblogic Server, Oracle Database, SQL/PL-SQL, Java/J2EE, Apache/Tomcat, BPEL, SOA, BI Publisher, OBIEE, Oracle technology stack

  • Demonstrated competency in SQL query design and performance tuning

  • Ability to work directly with the Oracle Support and R&D teams

  • Demonstrated competency architecting a solution using multiple software components, including using Oracle OTM and other supply chain applications/software’s

  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA

  • Superior writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Good facilitation and presentation skills

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Should be a team player who works with a sense of urgency towards timelines

  • Adaptable and flexible, takes ownership, is transparent and pro-active

  • OTM certification helpful but not essential

  • Experience within an Agile organization is an asset

  • Detailed technical knowledge of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), including:

  • Installation and upgrade

  • Advanced Workflow Agent design and configuration

  • Data Model and XML Schema

  • Integration design and development

  • Data migration and loading

  • Operational and analytical report design and development

  • Performance tuning; scalability configuration; troubleshooting
