The role involves designing, managing, and maintaining data infrastructure for both new and existing data sources on GDAP (Global Data & Analytics Platform). It aims to ensure data quality and reliability, providing insights into trends and patterns through data analysis. The position requires proficiency in SQL, Python and GCloud, enabling swift responses to ongoing needs, maintenance tasks, and ad-hoc requests. As the MIS Manager, the individual will collaborate closely with peers and leaders within the RBBO (Retail and Business Banking Operations), as well as partners within Technology and Operations.

Is This Role Right for You? In this role, you will:

  • Communicate with multiple levels of business stakeholders and prepare documentation to capture requirements and understand business needs.

  • Creates reporting procedural documents that capture the data flow and procedures.

  • Conducts research and analysis to meet the needs of RBBO and supported units.

  • Design and develop ETLs to operationalize data injection and infrastructure on GDAP.

  • Creates, manages, and maintains monthly and ad-hoc data requests, to share behavior and information with stakeholders which provide value added insight and actionable recommendations for business partners.

  • Utilizes advanced analytical techniques and time series analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships among large datasets to present insights about the impact of volumes and productivity.

  • Provide insight on the interpretation of analytics and model outputs to enable RBBO teams to take appropriate actions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, statistics, or a related field.

  • Strong business process design and software skills for Solution Architecture and debugging/troubleshooting.

  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and VBA for data manipulation and automation.

  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies in the data warehousing space (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Data Catalog, Cloud Composer, Cloud SDK, Cloud PubSub, Google Cloud Storage, IAM, Compute Engine, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataproc).

  • Experience with agile project management and risk prioritization.

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills related to business operational needs.

  • Expertise in handling, analyzing, and designing data solutions.

  • Proficiency in time series analysis and adherence to data management techniques and best practices.

  • Additional skills in data visualization or business intelligence are a plus.
