What You’ll Do

The Transportation Operational Analysis Team supports the efficient and effective movement of freight throughout CTC’s delivery network. This support is provided in a number of forms, including; research and data analysis, process improvement projects, carrier rate / contract negotiations support and reporting. The team works closely with the Canadian Dispatch and Carrier Support Team, Direct Ship, Fleet Services, the Transportation Development & Support Team and the Visibility Team, but also has frequent involvement with Planning, Logistics, Distribution, International Transportation, Marketing, Finance and IT.

  • Perform in depth analysis of data and develop viable conclusions within the framework of the project.

  • Obtain project relevant information from internal and external sources.

  • Present findings to leadership.

  • Document processes and assist in developing training material.

  • Run and validate reports to gather shipment and forecast data from various sources.

What You Bring

  • Working towards a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Data/Business Analytics a relevant discipline

  • Ability to analyze data, create reports and present findings

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and work both independently and within a group

  • Experience working with data in Relational Databases (i.e. proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Access)

  • Proficiency in data reporting and visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Excel)

  • Previous work term experience in a similar role would be an asset

Hybrid

At Canadian Tire we value flexibility. We have adopted a hybrid work model whereby employees use a combination of working in office and virtually in service of outcomes. This role will require a minimum two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) onsite at our Mississauga campus.
