Purpose of Job:

To effectively and promptly:

  • Perform the Administration, build, and troubleshooting for Anaplan models within UHC Workforce Planning & Management, including bugs and enhancements, both in the backend and on the front end (UX)

  • Support multiple different Anaplan models and use cases

  • Understand the differences and similarities between models and assist cross-functional teams to achieve their business goals with the deployment of Anaplan in their environment

  • Work with many different teams and use cases, understanding the requirements and translating those into Anaplan outputs

The ideal candidate will have solid technical background, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to continually take on new responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Anaplan hands-on model building with proven experience of successfully implementing Anaplan solutions as a Certified Anaplan model builder

  • Experience with Agile/Anaplan Way methodology preferred

  • Implementing practices and standards as defined by a Master Anaplaner

  • Building lists, modules, and dashboards supporting business processes

  • Familiar with Anaplan Application Life Cycle Management (ALM)

  • Ability to translate business needs into detailed requirements/stories

  • Ability to partner across multiple teams and business divisions

  • Apply critical thinking to existing processes and/or problems to identify and propose opportunities for improvement

  • Conceptual understanding of business analysis and business Intelligence tools

  • Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies

  • Partner to deliver end-user trainings and knowledge transfer sessions to internal stakeholders

  • Work in a collaborative way with other team members and other stakeholders to deliver high touch customer service

  • Communicate well written and orally at all levels‐managerial, technical, and user

  • Understand priorities, scope, timeline, goals, and key milestones

Required Qualifications:

  • Anaplan Model Building experience

  • Familiarity with workforce planning, financial/multi-dimensional modeling, data analytics, or business intelligence concepts

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‐solving skills

  • Demonstrated effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skill

  • Demonstrated great organizational and time management skill

  • Demonstrated to be adaptable and able to quickly move with change while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule as needed for infrequent occasions, including early hours, weekends, and holidays

  • Demonstrated willingness and aptitude to quickly learn a new technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years as an Anaplan Certified Model Builder

  • 1+ years of Workforce Planning and Management experience

  • Experience in a project team environment using structured methodologies for gathering business requirements, business processes, data conversions, and designing system interfaces

  • Experience in implementing or working with planning solutions using Anaplan or similar technologies

  • Experience in Sales Planning, Revenue Forecasting, Financial Planning, and/or Enterprise Portfolio management

  • Solid functional knowledge around business processes Workforce management experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
